April 17th Club Meeting at Forch and SET
Mar 7th, 2010 at 7:30am

To all fellow NEWAS' members.

Dan and I have set a date for a Round-Robin in Neenah/Appleton - Saturday, April 17th:

Noon to ~3:30pm at Forch's
System is now all solid state, Belles pre and Monarchy mono-amps. As always, Class A, no-feedback single ended design - just like the tube set up I had. My CD player is run balanced into the Belles and now have a nice sounding MC. I think you will be impressed on what solid state can do.

4pm to ~8:30pm at Dan's
His numerous upgrades have been fully documented on the site and Dan is ready to show his stuff - I know I can't wait to hear it.

Mark you calendars. More info to follow including directions if requested. We'll have food after we transition to SETs at around 4.

Looking to see new members as well as the old guard.

Dan (SET) and Jeff (F Cheesyrch)

So long as I don't end up with an unexpected (and much-needed) booking on that day, I will at least try to make it to the evening session at SET's place if not both Smiley

My work schedule has been quite unpredictable as of late, but if I am free I would love to attend as well.  I am looking forward to meeting you in person and hearing some great music!

Thanks for your responses. Looking forward to the club gathering and seeing old friends again and meeting new friends. Everyone, be sure to bring plenty of tunes you would like to hear and turn us on to!   Smiley

Thanks Danl,

My buddy No Regrets has wrote up a few comments of my current version of my Forte's. Scroll Down to the bottom of the page.

http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=159340&page=30

Thought it might be interesting for all to read what you might expect to hear.

Also, I will have the stock pair of Forte's to contrast the modified pair which I plan on doing for all that attend.

The A-B-A comparison I guess made an impression.

I'll be there, I've been to Dan's a couple of times but would need a map to get to Forch's.

Forch,

I hope to make it up there on the 17th. Depending on his schedule, WildBilly might be coming along. Please forward directions and contact numbers.

Look forward to see everyone there.

Thanx,
doc

So far, I'm still clear on the 17th and hope to get to both sessions or at least SET's (though I'd love to spin some vinyl at forch's!).  Will let you know if I can't make it afterall, but for now, count me in.
